Update 06-29: The Crossover Pass is now available and costs 750 Crystals (roughly $15 USD).

Paladins, a free-to-play team-based shooter developed by Evil Mojo Games and published by Hi-Rez Studios has announced a heavily-foreshadowed collaboration with RWBY in it’s upcoming June update. The news came with a developer live-stream.

After the update is released players will be able to purchase the Crossover Pass, immediately unlocking a Ruby skin for the Paladins champion Vora. Then, players can level up the pass up to 30 levels by playing, unlocking various avatars, sprays, loading frames and other cosmetics, as well as Yang, Blake and Weiss skins for Imani, Saati and Furia respectively. Players who wish to immediately get the skins and cosmetics without leveling the Crossover Pass can do so by paying extra. Additionally, other RWBY-themed cosmetics can be unlocked by completing Trials of the Realm challenges.

Not included in the battle pass are Qrow and Salem skins that can be found in the Mythological Treasure Chests or purchased directly. This marks Salem’s first appearance in a RWBY video-game, as well as Qrow’s first appearance in a game that wasn’t published by Rooster Teeth.

The following is the list of all Paladins champions that will receive RWBY skins:

  • Vora – Ruby Rose
  • Furia – Weiss Schnee
  • Saati – Blake Belladonna
  • Imani – Yang Xiao Long
  • Corvus – Qrow Branwen
  • Seris – Salem

Hi-Rez Studios has a history of collaborating with Rooster Teeth. Hi-Rez’s Smite had a similar RWBY collaboration, with the four huntresses appearing as skins to the game’s gods, while Paladins had a collaboration with Rooster Teeth’s gen:LOCK a year ago.
